Peavey Messenger PROSUB Mk2 PA sub bass speakers are bass PA speakers with 15" low frequency sub bass driver. Peavey Messenger pro-subs are suitable for 2 way PA speaker systems. The 15" sub bass woofer speaker delivers deep powerful bass response & the 4 ohm speaker impedance ensures the maximum power output from most modern PA power amplifiers.

Bass subs or bass bins are used in conjunction with smaller speakers often called satellite speakers. The sub bass bins handle all of the lower frequencies and the Peavey PROSUB built in crossover routes the mids and tops frequencies to smaller satellite speakers. This is a 2-way passive cross over PA system.

A two way PA speaker system is extremely efficient. The low frequency bass sounds use power and need a larger speaker to reproduce the sound. Using a sub bass bin speaker cabinet means that the larger slower moving speaker in the sub bass bin is optimised for bass frequencies. The built-in x-over routes the low frequency to the sub and the mid / high frequencies to the smaller and lighter satellite speakers.
