Description

Rocktronic DD502 electronic drum kit.

Rocktronic's DD-502 electronic drum kit is a full size 5 piece electric drum kit with quality sounds and responsive electronic drum pads. It used to be that real drummers only played acoustic kits, but over the last few years the technology behind these kits has made them a real alternative to traditional drum kits.

How to choose an electronic drum kit?

Almost all modern electronic drum-kits have a good range of basic drum sounds that fairly accurately recreate the sound of a real acoustic 5 piece drum-kit. The key difference is the way the drum pads respond to the drum sticks, and this has two important factors:

  1. The drum stick must bounce off the drum head in a consistent, predictable way that closely simulates the bounce of a real acoustic drum head. This is crucial for all drummers and especially important for a beginner drummer to understand and master the technique of stick control.
  2. The drum head must accurately respond to the force and velocity of the drum stick and the triggers must translate the playing dynamics into a drum sound that reproduces all of the fine tonal and volume changes that a live drummer creates.

To properly achieve these two goals requires an electronic drum kit with mesh heads that are super responsive and the tension is tuneable just like an acoustic drum head. This type of drum kit is very expensive and is generally used by professional drummers, but now..........at last.........there is a less expensive option that comes close to the response of acoustic drums.

The Rocktronic DD502 brings great drum sounds and very responsive drum heads to an affordable electronic drum kit that offers the very best value for money. Now a beginner drummer can practice on an affordable kit that will allow proper drum techniques to be learned. When using the headphones, the drums are virtually silent, so no more complaints about noise from the neighbours and the rest of the family. In fact, they will all want to play too.

With 50 preset songs to play along with, and a tempo control to slow down or speed up according to your playing level, the Rocktronic DD502 is perfect for learning to play. It's the best possible value, offering the cheapest electronic drum kit in relation to the high feature set.

If you are just starting as a drummer, or you are a drummer who needs a kit for quiet practice and a great kit for gigs, then the Rocktronic DD502 is the one.
