About Us

Stagebeat Limited is a UK registered company & is owned by Zimbabwean born Moss Hills, who is also the managing director. He has been a professional musician all of his adult life, (and at his age..... that's a mighty long time). Starting as a drummer, Moss Hills then took up guitar as his main instrument. He also sings & plays keyboards, bass, drums & saxophone.

Moss and his bass player wife Tracy performed with bands, trios & as a duo, & Moss also performed solo. Plus they spent more than a decade entertaining aboard many cruise ships around the world (two of which sank while they were aboard - The Oceanos in 1991 and The Achille Lauro in 1994). Moss also worked as a sound engineer on various studio & live projects.
After travelling the world extensively, they decided that the UK was the best place to settle down. Opening the Stagebeat music shop and website was a chance for Moss to combine his technical knowledge and performing experience with a passion for music that is as strong as ever.

Stagebeat expanded quickly and Amber was hired to run orders and despatch. She was soon promoted to overall manager, responsible for the day to day running of all things Stagebeat, including the website images & product. Amber has played a significant role in the company's tremendous growth. Amber was persuaded to join Stagebeat while she was working in London as a freelance lighting technician & stage manager. She has worked on shows for diverse music acts including The Eagles, Madonna, Radiohead, Status Quo, Slipknot, S Club 7, Roy Harper, Robbie Williams & many, many more. She has some great backstage stories.

The fantastic Stagebeat staff includes Johnny and Billy at the Farnborough shop, plus Robert who runs the guitar repairs and setup workshop. They are all musicians with a passion for music. They are fun, friendly & nearly famous. (Who knows when they will write that hit song?) They are ready to help you with advice about instruments & equipment. We also have our hard working team at the Scottish bulk warehouse who keep the internet orders shipping every day.

Stagebeat would not be able to rock 'n roll without our accounts and administration team. Kathy and Betsy somehow turn a huge mountain of paperwork into a neat computer display that keeps track of all things Stagebeat.
