Foldback Monitor Speakers

Foldback monitors are crucial to monitor your on-stage sound. To monitor vocals and instruments, use a separate monitor or fold-back mix from your sound board or mixer. This is achieved by sending a separate monitor mix of the sound to a fold back monitor amplifier and then to non-powered passive fold-back monitor speakers. Alternatively you can send the fold-back monitor mix to active powered fold-back monitor speakers with a built in power amplifier. Fold-back monitor speakers are usually wedge shaped floor fold-back monitors.

An alternative is to use personal in ear monitors. These are small fold-back monitor speakers similar to in ear headphones. This allows a personal in ear monitor mix to your exact personal monitoring preference. A wireless, or cordless radio in ear monitor system gives complete movement freedom around the stage.
