Mixers for scratch DJ's, mobile DJ's, wedding DJ's, karaoke DJ's, mobile discos and disco venues. DJ mixers usually have input channels for turntables (decks), cd compact disc players and other audio sources. A common feature of a DJ disco mixer is a crossfader or x-fader. The mixer cross-fader allows easy cross fading between two input channels. Most DJ disco mixers also have a headphone monitor output.
DJ mixer input channel faders and crossfaders are vital. Like a guitarist's strings, the faders, sometimes called sliders, are prone to wear and need replacing. Modern DJs push the limits of DJ mixers, mixer channel faders and mixer crossfaders, especially when scratch mixing. Cross faders (x-faders) are used constantly for scratch mixing between two mixer channels. Scratch mixer DJ's will be flicking the cross-fader hundreds of times a night. This causes the cross fader (X-fader) to wear out and become unpredictable and scratchy. Then it is time to replace the cross fader slider with a replacement channel fader or crossfader. It is easy to fit most replacement cross-faders and channel faders and usually only takes a few minutes. Check your DJ mixer to find out which replacement cross fader or replacement channel fader you require. If we don't have it listed, we can probably order it for you.
